Young People’s Group

Welcome to all the Children, Young People, Sons and Daughters with Archway Care.

We hold regular Children and Young People’s Groups where you can meet other children and young people in foster care and birth children. You will each have your own ideas, concerns and interest’s, maybe you just want to have a chat. We hope you have someone you can talk to, like your foster carer, teacher, or friend, the staff at Archway Care are also available if you need to talk about something. We are all here to help and support you, by visiting you, talking with you on the telephone, or if you wish to email us at

At Archway Care we want to make sure you are happy and having fun, we will try our best to provide things you will like to do and to have your say, your ideas and well-being is very important to us.
We sometimes go on outings, including the fun fair, bowling, activity days and picnics. Our craft and creative days are also fun and offer’s everyone the opportunity to interact with people and make new friends. Sometimes we have a learning day, this could be Internet Training or Bullying Awareness, and other different topics.

During the Summer holidays we have a Family Fun Day when all the foster children, foster carers and their children get together with staff and have a fun packed day. We also value your feedback on these days, so do let us know your thoughts and if you would like us to consider a certain activity.
The children’s Awards Event is held during October each year to celebrate your achievements, no matter what they are, they are all important to us. This event is held in the evening and if you want you can dress to impress! Children and Young People are welcome to perform songs and dances during the evening, as part of the entertainment. Don’t forget your dancing shoes as we have a disco afterwards.

We also provide every Child and Young Person with a Children’s Guide.

Young People’s Guide to be Fostered
